Alex Swienc, age 75, was an amazing husband, brother, cousin and friend. He peacefully passed on October 22, 2021 in Lexington, N.Y.

Alex was born on January 01, 1946 to parents Olena and Osyp (Joe) Swienc. He leaves behind his wife, Julie Brown, and his sisters, Irene and Luba.

Alex served in the army during the Vietnam War. He became a professional window washer for the NYC skyscrapers and assisted in building St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Hunter, NY under the supervision of Dr. Ivan Makarevich. He worked on this build together with his father and brother.

Alex loved collecting cars. He was a self-learned mechanic and a genius in repairing or creating many things.

Alex loved the scenic area in Greene County, NY especially in Lexington and Hunter. He purchased a home in Lexington, NY in 1971, spending many years at this home. He loved nature especially skiing on Hunter Mountain and was an avid fisherman fishing in rivers or streams. Alex enjoyed having animals around him allowing the farmer next door to have his cows roam on his property.

Alex lived in South Caroline with his wife, Julie Brown and his pups in recent years, but he never forgot Lexington. He would travel back and forth from South Carolina to his home in the mountains.

Alex was a gentle giant, a loving and kind soul to his family and
to everyone he met.
