Kasia Gennity

Kasia Gennity, of Carmel, New York, age 31, beloved daughter of the late John Gennity and Mira Purgal, who survives her, passed away on May 11, 2022.

Kasia loved her nephew, Jaxon, very much and enjoyed playing video games with him.  Kasia's friend, Aliajah, shared treasured memories of her with her family.  Kasia and Aliajah watched many sunsets together when they traveled and also just down the street. Aliajah said Kasia loved writing music, and playing the guitar and ukelele. She relished being the rescuer that she was, helping and protecting people in her life. Exploring new places like the ocean and other scenic sights were favorite moments.  She had a passion for craziness and projects, and fixing things from people to vehicles.  Aliajah said Kasia loved listening to people's stories, laying in the grass, looking at the stars, and was as compassionate and understanding as they come.

Kasia was born on November 22, 1990.  She is survived by her brother Chris, who she was very close to, his son, Jaxon, her brothers, Sebastian, (sister-in-law, Ellen) and Artur, (sister-in-law, Marta), Aunt Eva, Uncle Marek, cousin Marcus and his wife, Lenny, and their two sons, and her grandmother, Tonia.  She was loved dearly by her friends, Red and Aliajah, and many other friends who were such an important part of her life.

She will be greatly missed.

The wake will be held at the Aston Basagic Funeral Home Thursday May 19th from 2pm to 4pm and 7pmto 9pm.
