Jean Elizabeth Breck, age 77, passed away on June 16 2021 in Albany Medical Center She was the wife of William Breck and resided in Lexington NY.
Born in Brooklyn, New York on June 19, 1943, she was the daughter of Gladys and Donald Thomson. She earned her nursing degree (RN) from The University of the State of New York and worked at the Albany VA Hospital for 25+ years.
While Jean was actively working in the Albany VA, she shared an entrepreneurial spirit and drive with her husband William. Together, they owned/ran a local ski shop, laundromat/dry-cleaner, antique store, apartments, and an ice cream shop to name a few. A hard worker is an understatement for her business tenacity. She enjoyed golf and tennis in her younger days but always LOVED the beach German Shepherds and a Vodka Gimlet. Family and close friends knew that she was collector of elephants, some could say that it was her spirit animal.
She is survived by her sister Barbara Thomson, her children Elizabeth (Breck) Frank, Daniel Breck, her grandchildren Alexis and Breck Frank and Granite Breck .
The viewing will be June 22, 2021 from 2-5 at Aston Basagic Funeral Home.
The burial will be June 25.2021 at 11:00 at St. Francis De Sales Cemetery, Clum Hill Rd, Elka Park, NY 12427.
